March 21, 2024Andremacon opens a new operational innovation headquarters in Milan in the UNIMI Foundation hub, founded by the University of Milan, together with the Cariplo Foundation, Intesa Sanpaolo and the Milan Chamber of Commerce.
Located in the south of Milan, a stone's throw from the Prada Foundation, the IFOM research center and the Calabiana Talent Garden, the complex welcomes start-ups, companies and laboratories with the aim of facilitating the transfer of knowledge and technology from the academy to the market and for the creation of technological and innovative initiatives.
The UNIMI Foundation district that resulted among the 125 institutions included in the first edition of the Europe's Leading Start-Up Hubs 2024 ranking launched by the Financial Times with the contribution of Statista and Sifted for the analyses. The technology transfer hub of the University of Milan was selected from over 2,000 organizations, and the evaluation of the teachers, researchers and start-ups recipients of the innovation and incubation programs was fundamental.
For years, the UNIMI Foundation has been the gateway to the University's talent pool, drawing on the skills of over 3,000 researchers and technicians from 31 departments, connecting the academic world with the market.
The Financial Times ranking: 125 institutions of excellence
The recognition was created with the aim of identifying the best European hubs for the accelerationand incubation of start-ups and is promoted by the Financial Times with the support of Statista and Sifted. UNIMI Foundation is thus part of the best 125 institutions in this first edition of the ranking, selected from over 2,000 organizations from 34 different countries.
